Company Background
2007
In early 2007, CityVision focused on increasing management effectiveness and developing a strategy to enter new digital outdoor markets. In this light, a management company was hired called Media & Production Management in order to coordinate all strategic and operational aspects of the Group’s activities.
2005-2006
In the years 2005-2006, the company continued the development of its screen network and its active participation in partnership programs with screen owners in the largest cities of Russia. By that time, we had established relationships with the owners of more than 80 screens throughout Russia. CityVision paid special attention to the extension of its customer base and the development of new products for our customers.
2003-2005
2003-2005 was a period of continuous development in the Russian outdoor market, where CityVision Group took the leading position. Over those years we installed 30 screens in Moscow and the regional centres, which served as a basis for the CityVision network. We developed and improved the world’s first firmware network monitoring and management system. Russia’s first Common Screen Network Operational Centre was created.
2003
In 2003, the CityVision Company was founded to promote outdoor video advertising technologies both in Moscow and Russian major regional cities. The main scope of activities was defined as the operation of a network of outdoor video screens, the selling of ad time, as well as the development and placement of video commercials over the network.
In August 2003, in order to enhance its team and extend the Moscow network, CityVision acquired Rekmark, a company with extensive experience in the sector, that owned two LED screens in the centre of Moscow.
2003 was the year when CityVision brand promotion started, both in Moscow and the regions.
1999-2003
In 1999, we were ready to launch the production of digital advertising signs. Initially, we started with outdoor lamp screens. In 2001, a company called ATV Outdoor Systems developed the technology and started the production and installation of LED screens, which at that time was new even for USA and Europe.
From 1999 to 2003, the company produced and installed 20 video screens sized from 8õ6m to 12õ9m in various Russian (Moscow, Novosibirsk, Volgograd, Yekaterinburg, Kaliningrad, Chelyabinsk, Norilsk, Krasnodar, Irkutsk) and CIS (Alma-Ata, Riga, Barnaul) cities.
At the same time, in partnership with other companies, we installed 11 additional video screens. In this emerging market, partnership and cooperation were always our key priorities.
1992-1999
The founders of CityVision started working in the field of digital advertising installations back in 1992. At that time, their main activities were installation and maintenance of lamp video screens produced by foreign vendors, as well as the creation of a monitoring system. Before 1999, we used to install screens produced by US companies WhiteWay, Daktronics, and AdArt.
